I have been loving all of my 30-day challenges so far and excited to kick these off as well. If you missed my first post – check it out here. Basically, I am challenging myself to a few 30-day challenges each month this year to really nail down some good habits!
30-Day Arm Workout
I really like the little burst of energy my 30-day butt workout gave me in the morning so I definitely wanted to continue with a 30-day workout in February. When I think about a bodily feature I want really be banging at my wedding – it’s my arms! Arm workouts right now are a little tricky as I have sprained my thumb/hand/wrist thing from skiing and I can’t put in weight on it. So any push-up type activity is out for me so I looked for a weighted workout. I found this 30-day challenge on Popsugar – you can get yours here.
Weekday 6 AM wake up
Some days I can easily wake up at 6 am others I am snoozing through 20 alarms. But honestly, my day is WAY better when I am up at 6 am. That gives me an hour to journal, stretch, 30-day challenge workout, make breakfast & lunch and get dressed for the day. Then a solid hour at the computer for blog work before heading into work. To crush my blog goals in 2019 I need to get in the habit of doing this!
Read Two Books & Listen to One
This was not in my January Challenge but it’s something I added a few days into January. Technically, I read one and finished two audibles so for February I got 4 total to complete. I know this math doesn’t make sense but one is very short and two I have already started!
- You are a Badass by Jen Sincero – I am a few chapters into this so I need to finish it!
- How: Why How We Do Anything Means Everything by Dov Seidman – My dad recommended I read this and it’s so poignant and applicable for where we are today in business and society. I am a third of the way through on this one.
- The War of Art: Break Through the Blocks and Win Your Inner Creative Battles by Steven Pressfield – Clay just finished it and loved it! Recommended by our here Joe Rogan.
- INSPIRED: How to Create Tech Products Customers Love by Marty Cagan – For all my other Product Managers out there this one came highly recommended! I will be listening to this on Audible.
How am I making so much time to read? Check out my January Challenge to see the one thing I cut out that is giving me back so much reading time!
Over on my January recap post, I went over how I did in each challenge and if I really formed a habit so check those out here. A few of them I am definitely continuing into February and hopefully life!
