Grand Hyatt Vail
The saying with Colorado goes “Come for the winters, stay for the summers (and fall)”, and this could not be more true at the Grand Hyatt Vail. We have visited a number of times in winter and had an amazing experience but wow summer and fall are just as spectacular! l. From the pool to the Gold Medal Water footsteps from the property, this is the location to stay in Vail during summer and fall.
Fly Fishing with Grand Hyatt Vail
Fly Fishing has become our new activity, and the Grand Hyatt is the perfect place to learn how to cast or book a great adventure this fall. Get all the details on the Fly Fishing Packages available here.
Wade or Float Trips – Book a trip with Grand Hyatt Vail for either a wade or float trip. Personally, I think if you have the option float is the way to go. It’s more scenic and you get to cover a lot more water too!
Casting & Cocktails – Learn how to cast with a drink in hand (or nearby) every Thursday with Casing & Cocktails; this totally free casting class by Vail Valley Anglers is the perfect way to learn or relearn the basics of fly fishing. This happens right outside the pool on the Gore River, which is actually Gold Medal Water, so you could even catch something!
Grand Hyatt Pool & Tiki Bar
We visited during a dip in the temperature, but even with temps hovering in the low 70s, the pool was bumping. In Colorado, as long as the sun is shining, it’s going to be warm. The Tiki Bar offers fun cocktails and BBQ during the day, too.
Food Options at Grand Hyatt Vail
The Grand Hyatt Vail is not directly in town so they bring all food options to you! Grab breakfast or lunch to go from Gore Creek Market, drinks, and casual dinner in the Fireside lounge or head to the Gessner for a full on fine dining experience. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, including more outdoor dining/hanging options and lounge space.
Daily Champagne Sabering
As Moet Chandon parters, every day at 4:30 the hotel does a Champagne Sabering and everyone gets a glass to enjoy! You can also grab a mini bottle of champs to enjoy form this one-of-a-kind champagne vending machine!
Top Golf Suites at Grand Hyatt Vail
Reserve a Top Golf suite for a fun, family-friendly activity – or a super competitive one! Each suite holds up to 12 and is yours to enjoy and order food and drinks will you play golf, kickball, zombie dodgeball and more.
Fall in Vail with Grand Hyatt Vail
While the leaves may start to change come September, Vail will still have plenty of warm days to enjoy the pool!
Fall Foilage – I have a full post on where to see fall color around Colorado here and Vail has plenty of hikes to enjoy.
Gore Creek – I mentioned this path was gorgeous, and I highly recommend a morning and afternoon stroll, but you can also rent bikes from Mountain Sports at the hotel and cruise to Lionshead & Vail Village.
Spa – I have visited the Spa a few times on my past visits and always had the best service and experience. Plus, the shop has some super cute stuff. Read a review of my visit to the Spa here.
