I am still reminiscing about our trip to Grand Hyatt Vail! Anytime you get to stay in the mountains for a night means two things. One, you are gonna be up early to hit the slopes and avoid all traffic – YAY! Two, you get to Après Ski (aka after ski happy hour)! Might be my favorite part of skiing… maybe so, maybe not…
Most of the time you are headed straight from the slopes to the bars so ideally, your base layers are cute and comfortable – check out my favs here. Sometimes, you get to go home and change but again it’s Après Ski, which means AFTER Skiing! So 75% of people will be in ski gear so don’t get too dressed up.

My go-to outfit is black leggings, a tunic/flannel/thermal top, and a beanie. The sun will set mid-Après so dress appropriately and bring a jacket! Since the Grand Hyatt Vail is a little more upscale I swapped my normal leggings out for my Spanx leather leggings. If you don’t have these, please go buy them right now. They are soooo freaking comfortable and keep everything in place and looking good. I also really love the Spanx seamless leggings – they are nice and thick for cold weather and no underwear lines!
When I wear leggings as pants I prefer longer tops, which is why I love the tunic length of this cowl neck thermal by Splendid, it’s almost like a little sweater dress. My vest is actually from middle school (lol) from J.Crew, but I have linked to some similar ones here and here. And I snagged this beanie on Amazon for under $20.
Snow Boots – These Black Uggs are cozy but not great in snow. These Uggs however are the best snow boots you can buy.
