The Four Season Vail has been on my bucket list for years, so I immediately jumped at the opportunity to visit for a ski weekend. The Four Seasons is known for its impeccable service; we experienced every bit of that during our visit. This post is sponsored by the Four Seasons Vail.

Skiing with Four Seasons Vail
While we were hoping for a warmer ski day, the weather had other plans; luckily, the Four Seasons offers several amenities to keep you warm till you hit the slopes. When you arrive, your skis, boots, and poles are taken to the Ski Concierge, located right across from Vendettas.
When you are ready to ski a shuttle will pick you up from the hotel and drop you in Vail Village, just a short walk to the Ski Concierge. You will find complimentary drinks, snacks, and breakfast/lunch items. Take the elevator up to the 2nd floor to swap out your snow boots for ski boots. The attendant can help you put them on too, which I definitely need. All your belongings are safely stored in a locker till you return. When we were done skiing for the day, we hung out for lunch, enjoying hot tomato soup and beef empanadas. We may have snagged a Twix bar on our way out too.

The Spa & Pool @ Four Seasons Vail
Unfortunately, the pool area was closed during our visit because of a wedding – the aisle was the pool! However, we did enjoy the spa and outdoor pool on Sunday before we left. The spa has a large hot tub with waterfalls, a cold plunge, dry sauna, and a steam room. There is also a shared co-ed lounge space. The pool is the hotel’s focal point, and it was just begging me to jump in. The pool was perfectly warm, and I could have stayed there all day. With the view and great sunlight, this has to be the place to be in summer.
Dining at Four Seasons Vail
The mark of a good ski lodge is the “Living Room,” aka the space where everyone hangs out by the fire, after a full day on the slopes. The Fours Seasons’ Remedy Bar is the perfect living room. We enjoyed breakfast, après, and dinner in different areas around the bar.
On our first night, we snagged some comfy seats by the fire and made friends with another couple and their 6-month-old. We sat in a different area Saturday for Apres & dinner, where we enjoyed the signature hot chocolate and watched march madness games. I highly recommend the burger with sweet potato fries!

We opted for a more casual dinner during our trip but if you want to be wined & dined head to Flame, the Fours Seasons steakhouse! The Fours Seasons also has a coffee bar with grab-and-go breakfast and lunch (and a full bar).

Four Seasons Resort Vail With Dogs & a Baby
The Fours Season was so accommodating for our little crew. I requested a lower floor room so we could easily get outside. We ended up with a suite with access to the outside, so while we didn’t have a view we had the convenience of just opening a door to let the dogs out. Our room came with all the necessities for a comfortable stay. The dogs had dog treats, dog beds, and water bowls, and for Callie we had a diaper genie in our room (which was amazing). Complimentary baby shampoo, lotion and oil, water wipes, and diapers. We were offered a pack-and-play, but we had brought our own. The Four Seasons also has a kid’s playroom and a teen hangout area too. Check out all the amenities here.
We had such a great time at the Four Seasons and I can’t wait to return. Ideally, in summer so we can really enjoy the pool area!

Cross the line, pay the fine
No one loves sitting in i70 traffic but even worse is racking up a fine for violating the Express Lane rules! Violators will now be identified along the I-70 Mountain Express Lanes by cameras, sensors and software and mailed a fine if they are found to be breaking the rules.
What counts as a violation?
- Using Express Lanes when they are closed
- Weaving in and out of the Express Lanes across the solid yellow lines
- Driving in the Express Lane with an oversized vehicle—includes vehicles with three or more axles (including cars towing trailers) and any vehicle over 25 ft long
When does this start?
June 21 – 1 month grace period – Drivers will get a warning in the mail for violations
July 21 and on – Drivers who commit violations will be fined
Why enforce fines?
The Express Lanes are used to relieve congestion only during high traffic times, otherwise they operate as an emergency shoulder for broken down cars or emergency services. When the Express Lanes are open, weaving in and out of the lanes creates hazards for drivers who aren’t expecting vehicles to cross the solid lines.
How Much is a fine?
Fines start at $75 for a first offense if paid within 20 days of issuance. After 20 days, the fine increases to $150.
How does the express lane work?
To use the express lane, only enter when it’s open at the designated entry points. Overhead signs will indicate whether or not the Express Lane is open. Your license plate will be scanned and the toll charge will be sent to the address associated with your vehicle’s registration. If you have an ExpressToll pass, you will save an average of 40% on tolls and automatically be charged through your account.
