A quick guide to Frisco, Colorado

Frisco Colorado, Mountain Towns, Travel

For most Frisco is a little drive-by on the way to Breckenridge, but over the years Frisco has become one of our favorite towns.

  1. It’s right in the middle of everything with easy access to any activity in any season
  2. Live Music – Two venues pulling in acts from all over in beautiful venues
  3. It’s cheap – As I said Frisco is often overlooked so it’s easier to find Airbnb and hotel here more on budget and with free bus rides to basically anywhere you want to go

What to Do In Frisco

Winter in Frisco

Frisco is about 30 mins between Vail, Copper, Breck and even closer to Keystone. The free bus runs throughout the day so it’s super easy to get between Frisco, Keystone, and Breck.

If you’re not into skiing you can hop the bus to the Frisco Adventure Park for tubing and tumble bubbles – ya know those giant inflatable balls you can roll around in. Or you can head to the Nordic Center for cross country skiing.

Summer in Frisco

You are smack dap in the middle of adventure! Check out all trails for the nearby hikes like Shrine Ridge near vail or outside Breckenridge. For or you can scoot over to the Frisco Marina and spend a day on Dillion Reservoir. You can powerboat, sail, canoe, kayak or paddleboard around the lake and visit some of their many islands

In the summer the Frisco Adventure Park offers a bike course, disco golf and more

Fall fest is a mini October fest and June brings out the grill masters for an epic BBQ Fest

Where to Eat & Drink in Frisco

For oysters and happy hour head to The Uptown on Main, pizza at Peppino’s, breakfast Butterhorn Bakery or Bread & Salt and for margs and queso head to The Rio. Ollies Pub & Grub is perfect for groups with a huge space, bar games and plenty of TVs.

Live Music Frisco

Frisco has access to not one but two great venues. For indoor shows year-round check out 10 Mile Station. Last summer Dillon opened the Dillion Amphitheater and it’s seriously one of the prettiest places to see a show in Colorado – and almost every show is free! The amphithater is a short uber, bus or water taxi away from Frisco.

Where to Stay in Frisco

We always lean towards Airbnb and this summer we were lucky to stay in a brand new Airbnb near teh Whole Foods in Frisco. Our corner unit was amazing. The apartment has a pull-out couch and upstairs loft making it perfect for solo travelers, couples or a small family. The decor is spot on too!

Thanks to our Airbnb host for gifting us a free night and inspiring this guide to Frisco!
