After spending the afternoon lounging on the beach and swimming in Monterosa Del Mare it was time to clean up and find some dinner. Unfortunately, something spilled in our bag and got brown guck all over my WHITE shorts – not ideal! What in the world was I going to do – Italian shopping duh!! I think Clay may think this happened on purpose but I promise it didn’t!

So we headed into Monterosso Al Mare where I found a cute little shop with all the white linen I could dream of! In the tiny dimly lit dressing room I tried on a few pais before settling on these. I changed out to my swimsuit into clean clothes and slipped these shorts back on and paid. Before I made it out the door the shop keeper came after me laughing hysterically. Had I not signed my check? Did I have something on me (again)? He pointed at my new shorts and as I looked down I realized I had put them on inside out and the pockets were flapping in the wind! LOL! I laughed and ran back in the dressing room and flipped them around. I thank’ed him and off we went back into the pastel maze!
With a bottle of rose in hand, we wandered around the streets taking pictures and giggling over how dang cute this little pastel town is. We honestly felt like some of it was a Disney set – we called it “Hogwarts goes to the beach”. One area, in particular, was very Disney like with fake shutters and bricks pained on the walls of buildings. Kind of odd… haha
We were on the hunt for quick and easy pizza when we stumbled upon literally had the best pizza of our entire trip maybe our entire life. Seriously so freaking good. Read more about our Cinque Terra trip here.
