With seven winters in Colorado, I have tried my fair share of snow boots and truth be told most are like walking around in clown shoes. I am super excited that the Ugg Adirondack III Waterproof Boot may be the perfect balance of snow boots and comfortable around town shoes. But these boots are really more for slugging through snow, and most of the time you really just need boots that have good traction and can get wet without getting ruined.
So I have rounded up some of the best-looking water-resistant or waterproof shoes to get you to work and around the mountains for when the weather doesn’t call for your heavy-duty snow boots. P.S. If you are planning a ski trip check out my Ski Weekend 101 Packing post and all my winter styles post.
Heavy Duty Winter Weather Boots
Ugg Adirondack III Waterproof Boot
Hunter Norris Field Waterproof Boot Tall
Hunter Tall Fleece Welly Boot Socks
I purchased the Ugg Adirondack III Waterproof Boot this fall and LOVE them. In the past, I have worn Sperry and Sorel boots but these are hands down the best for snow. For deep snow, I recommend the Hunter Norris Field Waterproof Boot Tall but alone they will not keep you warm. You will need to pair them with the Hunter Tall Fleece Welly Boot Socks to stay warm! I wouldn’t go long distances in these really for only trucking through deep snow.
