Clay and I have been dying to get to the mountains but its also football season and last weekends UGA vs. Notre Dame game was a must-see. So we chose to camp in Frisco around Lake Dillon so we were only a short uber drive to the bar. HA! Seriously though, that was the requirements of our campground.
We drove up Saturday morning and secured a spot at Peak One campground overlooking Lake Dillon. Clay and I wanted an easy hike for the dogs that gave us great views and fall color. Old Dillon Reservoir trail was it, at only 1.2 miles round trip, this was more of a nature trail than a hike. But we did walk through an epic aspen grove and got killer views of Lake Dillon. Next weekends fall colors are going to be epic!
Temperatures were in the 50’s and it felt amazing when the sun was shining and sooo cold when the clouds rolled in. I got this fleece-lined pullover from Amazon last year and I am blown away by warmth and quality for only being $25. I plan on ordering it in green soon! Leggings are Target Champion, Patagonia Hat, my vest is old but I have linked a similar vest. Vasque’s hiking boots are so comfortable and look great with jeans too!
