Make-Up
I have been obsessed with makeup since I was 16. I drove to Lenox and fell in love with Sephora. Seriously, I had a Sephora addiction. I mean the packaging of Benefit was just too good! I have tried lots of brands over the years but Tarte and Laura Mercier are my favorites and I have been using their products almost exclusively probably since College. I rarely leave the house without a full face on and I can do it all in under 10 minutes so I have my routine down.
Face
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation SPF 15 – Smooth, creamy, blends well and stays on all day.
Laura Mercier Secret Cover-up #2 – So this is a cover-up but at some point in college I started using it as under eye concealer and have been using it ever since. #1 cant live without item, will go with me to the desert island kind of stuff. Running out or forgetting this while traveling is cause for a slight panic attack. Luckily, I have found a drugstore alternative Neutrogena Healthy Skin 3-In-1 Concealer For Eyes.
Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation – My faith and love for Tarte runs deep, so when my Cover Girl powder ran out I decided to try this instead. Woah, game changer! My skin looks airbrushed, it smoothes out my skin and sets my make up perfectly.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush – Another long-lasting Tarte favorite. I have a few shades of this blush but love this bright peachy pink “Blissful” for summer and “Paaaarty” for winter.
Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer – An overall great bronzer that stays all day
Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage – My go-to coverup but, I honestly haven’t needed it since I switch up my skincare routine to Pangea Organics.
Eyes
Maybelline Volum’ Express Pumped Up! – Full, dark and pumped up! Oh and cheap, which is great cause nothing is better than really fresh mascara.
Tarteist Stays All Day Eyeliner – Liquid on one end, stick on the other gives you the best of both worlds. And the name holds true as this stuff last all day till you wash it off.
Nars Naked2 Palate – This is the eyeshadow pallet to end all eyeshadow pallets. It has every shade you could ever need. No random yellows or hot pinks, just natural smokey eyeshadows. I also love this Stila Pallet in Soul.
Lips
Stila Stay All Day® Liquid Lipstick – So my natural lip color is like pale blue, as in I have no lip color Not a huge fan of lipsticks so I stick to stains. However, I recently tried Stila Matte Lipstick in Dusty Rose, and it seriously does last all day. The color is a little intense and dark for me but I loved it on Arielle Noa Charnas form Something Navy and decide to try it. I’ll be ordering it in a few lighter shades soon or try out this little gift set.
Sunless Tanner
Everyone feels better with a tan, right? Well, I definitely do. So I have tried a number of sunless tanners over the years, so don’t bother with anything else except these two.
Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Glow Pads – These tanning wipes are perfect for your face, yes, your face. I swipe on after I wash my fave and fave a fun healthy glow for a few days.
Sun Laboratories Self Tanner – Mix a little of this with your everyday lotion and you will get a nice glow. I apply a few times a week for a great year-round color. Wanna be super dark. Don’t mix with lotion.
Hair
I am on the hunt for a new shampoo and conditioner. I will be purchasing Dry Bar Charcol Shampoo and Conditioner during the VIB sale and am hoping this will really deep clean my hair. The only thing I can really do with my hair is curled it, and girl I can curl it like a pro because of these two products.
The Beachwaver Rotating Curler – If you don’t know how to curl your hair, get this. Even if you do, this will make your life easier.
L’Oreal Paris Elnett Satin Hair Spray – In 1996 my family spent the summer in Europe. At some point on the trip, my mom ran out of hairspray and bought L’Oreal Paris Elnett, it was love at first spray. Unfortuenly, this particular hairspray wasn’t sold in the US till 2008. I remember seeing it in CVS and my mom flipped! Since then its been the only hairspray I use and all of my girlfriends are hooked too. A cult favorite this hairspray gives you long-lasting hold that is totally brushable. No helmet head with this stuff.
Dry Shampoo
have been using dry shampoo since college. My first love is Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo Powder, however, this stuff is impossible to find.
Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk – I received a sample of and its bomb.com by far the best aerosol dry shampoo I have ever used.
Right now Sephora has a genius gift set of travel size dry shampoo. I plan on purchasing this during the VIB sale later this week.
Dry Brushing
I was gifted a Daily Concepts Detox Dry Brush this summer and have honestly started using it daily. I did a little research and read about the benefits of body brushing and decided I really need to make this a part of my everyday routine. Dry brushing helps stimulate the lymphatic system, removes dead skin cells and energize the body. Seriously, as soon as I am done my body and skin feels awake for the day! It’s going to be a lifesaver in Colorado’s super dry winters.
Perfume
Prada Amber – My everyday scent since college. Hat tip to mom for gifting me this!
I Am Naked – My summer sent
YSL Rive Gauche – My “I’m feeling fancy” scent, my mother wore it went she went to events with my dad and I will always remember her when I smell it
Stella by Stella McCartney – My winter scent
