Living in Colorado, you are constantly being active without even trying. All of the outdoor activities got me moving and grooving, but my super active lifestyle was being to hurt, like really hurt. I couldn’t (and still can’t) stand for more than a few minutes at a time. My feet were constantly hurting which caused my legs to hurt too.
Dancing all night at shows lead to painful mornings. I finally went to see a Podiatrist long story and two doctors later. I have plantar fasciitis, an issue that is typically reserved for the old and over weight. After the two docs and two physical therapist the same issue rang true… I was not strong enough to support my body. A.K.A. I have no muscle in my body and the weight of it all is collapsing on my feet causing my body tremendous pain.
So what was I going to do to fix it – workout and stretch, a lot.
I haven’t and still don’t have the motivation to do a GREAT workout on my own, so I know I needed a coach or class like format to get in shape. I joined the local gym near my office and started going during my lunch breaks. I went to Pilates once a week and would maybe bike or do weights another day. Even with the pain I couldn’t motivate myself. Paying $100 a month for four class a month was NOT worth it.
So I decided to try ClassPass. I did a two week trial for $19 in last August. I committed myself to try as many class as possible in two weeks, to see if I had viable options I liked near my office and home. Not only where the classes convenient, but I loved them and I loved the way it made me feel!
A firm believer in the “endorphins make you happy” the trick was getting my ass to the gym to get the endorphins going and these ClassPass classes were the only thing that got me going. So after my two weeks I head back to the gym and happily canceled my membership. Class(pass) life is the life for me!
And the best part, when their isn’t a class I want to take, I can do “Gym Time”. With “Gym Time” you get full access to a gym’s facilities to run, bike, stair master and lift weights.
I am not five months in to being a ClassPass Member and I couldn’t be happier! I highly recommend trying ClassPass in your city. Oh, did I mentioned when you travel you can take a class wherever you are?! So awesome!
ClassPass is constantly running great new member demo prices like my $19 for two weeks. So you really have nothing to lose! Except weight! Yahoooooo!
On top of all this the app is SO well done – super easy to use, great calendar integration and never gives me issues.
Look cute while breaking a sweat

On my to-do list this week was to cancel my gym membership. I’d never heard of class pass but I definitely want to check this out, as it was my favorite part of my gym
