29, it’s a scary number that you never think you will get to until it’s there. A May birthday in the South means pool parties. A May birthday in Colorado means a 50/50 chance of rain or snow. Lucky me, I have had snow the past few years. The 10-day forecast was in my favor when my dear girlfriend, Ashley, asked if she could throw a bohemian garden party at my house. It was as if Ashley was my birthday fair godmother answering all my birthday dreams. Earlier that week, I wonder if Ashley would let me have her bday in her awesome backyard.

Lucky for Ashley was ready to go Pinterest crazy in the best way possible. I contributed a blanket and the cheese and Ashley took care of the rest. Pallets with hay sack decorations, tapestries, candles, the works Rose and Paloma’s were flowing and we ordered almost every type of pizza Blue Pan had to offer. I think our delivery guy was a little surprised to find a bunch of girls frolicking to phish in this backyard wonderland.

We drank we ate we danced and it was beyond perfect. Three months later I still can’t believe it even happened. Thank you Ashely and all my sweet friends who came out to help me celebrate!
