Helium, “A floating browser window for OS X”, I read this description on Product Hunt and thought ehhhh why would I need that. It doesn’t even make sense. A few weeks later I saw that Helium was one of Product Hunt’s most upvoted products for productivity, so I decided to dig a little more. Reviewers love the ability to watch Netflix while multi-tasking or watch a coding tutorial while coding. Still, the usefulness was lost on me.

Then in the middle of tabbing (you know when your scrolling the internet and just opening all the links in a new tab to look at later) I find a video I want to watch. But I hate that it’s taking up the entire screen and I can’t multitask while watching LIGHT BULB!! Helium! I needed a floating browser window for my OS X!! Now I am and writing WHILE watching this hilarious video of Conan.

Look! As I finish this post I can watch Phish YouTube and blog! Helium is my new favorite can’t live without app, you don’t think you need it… but now I don’t know how I can work without it.
