What a long strange trip: That super cool tie-dye shirt above that is my Limbo Head shirt! When the GD50 loto failed, a lot of people didn’t know if they had won the loto before the public on sale, essentially leaving us in “Limbo Land”. Hence the Facebook group of GD50 Limbo was started and the name, Limbo Heads! Everyone counted off and I am number #298 of 525 (and counting). Since March the group has been sharing their love of music, creating t-shirts, organizing Limbo meets up and even pulling together to secure a few boxes at Soldier Field for the shows. The groups goal is to help everyone get into at least one show and every day a few people announced that they have gotten a ticket. It is really quite an amazing group to be a part of. Yesterday after receiving my t-shirt I immeditly posted to the group my news of being miracle’d a pit ticket and this picture of my shirt. Can’t wait to meet some fellow Limbo Heads in Chicago!

Back, back, back it up: Well maybe. this week Google introduced their new photo storage system. I was bombarded by friends asking for advice on this. After reading around a bit here is my conclusion, sure back it up for free on Google Photos but know that the image quality suffers. If you want the best bang for your buck stick with Dropbox. Here is a great article explaining the difference and between Dropbox, iCloud and Google Photos. Google Photo is not a bad option and I will probably backup everything there cause you can never have enough backups of all 10000 photos I have taken in the last month alone…
Concert Photography: One of my first photography projects in high school was shooting a Perpetual Groove Show. I confused shutter and aperture priority and only 2 photos turned out. I got the hang of it now but I still dream of traveling the country to photography concerts like brothersTodd and Chris Owyoung. Read about this photography duo on the Instagram blog.
