The high today is 18° and the low is 2°. I wish more than anything I had my Patagonia down parka, unfortunately, the coat never made the trip to Denver from DC. This fridge cold weather has me craving a new one, preferably in a mossy green color like this one and this one. I have a short Patagonia Down Jacket that I live in during the winter, but one that covers your legs is crucial on days like this. You have 2 choices in an insulated coat, Down or Synthetic. Down will keep you warmer with less bulk but isn’t hypoallergenic or water resistant. Synthetic is water resistant and cheaper, while the bulk isn’t terrible it is usually a little heavier than Down. Either way, both will keep you happy and warm!
