Back in May, a few girlfriends decide to book a trip to Chicago for Lollapalooza. Having just moved away from DC and missing them dearly I decided to join – and book a 6am flight the morning after MMJ at Red Rocks (yeah…) but I made it and we had a blast! Unfortunately, the bad weather Saturday afternoon forced the festival to be evacuated. Fortunately  we found safe haven in Legend’s Blues Bar.  The storm forced most performances to be moved or bumped from the line-up altogether – Alabama Shakes 🙁 . So, I only got to see Calvin Harris and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Luckily, Sunday was beautiful and we spent the day exploring the city, spotting d-listed celebrities (see: Ryan Crabrera) and even went to the beach! Yes, it’s a lake, Lake Michigan, not an ocean… but a beach is a beach and it was awesome. Bellow are a few pics and videos of the trip!
